PA attribution question: due to which designated PA causal basis is the structure necessarily
developable?
3.
Inheritance question: was the relevant state independently instantiated or inherited through IH?
4.
Source question: if inherited, from which exact source stage or non-stage did it come?
5.
Maturity question: how far has the structure developed within the current stage?
These questions can have different answers even for visually similar tissues.
73. Experimental interventions
A fictional HGL laboratory could distinguish causal routes by interventions that, where the world permits,
selectively alter one developmental source while holding others fixed. It could test whether a trait depends on
PAx, inherited SF1, IH¬SM4, maturity, or an interaction among them.
An observed correlation with stage does not itself identify the causal source. Stage is a bundle of inherited
structure, not a magical scalar.
74. Provenance-sensitive biology is empirically substantive
If two full HGL states have the same Boolean projection but different IH genealogy, the theory becomes
scientifically meaningful only if at least some possible causal mechanisms can respond to that provenance.
HGL explicitly permits this. A scientist could therefore search for “developmental memory” markers, structural
organization, regulatory states, or other in-world mechanisms by which inherited source identity affects
phenotype.
Part XX — The entire revised theory in layman’s terms
Imagine ordinary female or male biology as a large biological language. Archwomanhood and Archmanhood
are not volume knobs that turn “female” or “male” above 100%. They are recursive ways of building
increasingly deep grammatical history into that biology.
PA answers: what developmental condition makes this anatomy/physiology necessarily developable? If two
conditions are joined inside PA, the development can depend irreducibly on them together. That is why PA(A
AND B) is not just PA(A) AND PA(B).
IH answers a different question: what properties does this higher stage carry forward from an earlier state,
and where did those properties come from? If a Stage-5 Archfemale inherits Stage 4, she does not merely
happen to resemble Stage 4. Her Stage-5 state explicitly carries Stage-4 structure as inherited history.
IH(NOT SM4) does not mean “she simply failed to inherit SM4.” It means her state inherits the structured
condition of not being SM4. That is how the zig-zag becomes productive: the female ladder takes the logical
non-state of the latest male ladder and makes it inherited material in the next female stage. The male ladder
does the mirror image.
The ladder therefore grows by two simultaneous actions:
keep your own previous stage; inherit the non-state of the other side’s previous stage.
Because every new stage wraps the old stage in another inheritance relation, the number of inheritance
layers can grow without limit even though PA itself never nests.
Finally, stage and maturity are different. If an Archfemale stays at Stage 6 for ten years, she can still continue
puberty, sexual maturation, aging, and maturation of Stage-6 structures. She keeps developing as a woman
even though she is not currently climbing higher as an Archwoman. The same applies to Archmales.
