23.8A Hyperemergent Crossfunctionality
Hyperemergent Crossfunctionality is crossfunctionality whose relevant output causally depends on at least one higher-Hyperfunction-generated emergent dimension from a participating Higher Lobe. Mere Higher-Lobe participation is insufficient.
HEC(C)=1 iff exists e in ActiveInputs(C), e in Emergent(H_h(phi)) for some h>=2, and C_without_e != C
It may be asymmetric regular-Hyperfunctional, Homohypercrossfunctional (same function-kind), Parahypercrossfunctional (similar function-kinds), Heterohypercrossfunctional (different function-kinds), polyhyperemergent (three or more participants), presence/absence Hyperemergent, or recursively composed.
HC_(c+1)=Cross(HC_c, additional task-relevant neural outputs); c != h != a != s
A Hyperemergent output may preserve an existing function-kind, transform multiple functions into a mixed function, or generate a new function-kind. Only the last case potentially invokes Brain-lobe Generation; Hyperemergence itself does not automatically create a dedicated lobe.
